TWO NEW KAWASAKI TRIMMERS HAVE 30% MORE ENGINE CAPACITY

NEW KAWASAKI TRIMMERS HAVE 30 PERCENT MORE ENGINE CAPACITY

Two new models are “beefed up” for heavy-duty trim jobs.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Kawasaki is introducing two new string trimmers built for heavy-duty grass and weed trimming. The KBL35A and the KGT35A are both powered by Kawasaki’s new TJ35E engine that features a hefty 34.4cc (2.1 cu.in.) displacement, which delivers plenty of power for cutting through the toughest grass.

These new trimmers, patterned after other popular Kawasaki units, feature a larger engine, heavy-duty clutch and drum, light-weight hollow steel drive shaft, and an adjustable loop handle with added safety barrier bar on the KBL35A.

The KGT35A is designed specifically for grass and brush trimming, and is equipped with an ergonomic-shaped cutter guard for easier close-in trimming. The KBL35A comes with a larger cutter guard, and a blade-capable head that allows users to switch the trimmer head with optional metal blades for extreme-duty grass cutting.

Both new trimmers are powered by the new TJ35E engine that features Kawasaki’s advanced 2-cycle Air/Fuel Technology(TM). The engines include a “stratified” two-barrel carburetor design that buffers fresh air between exhaust and incoming air/fuel mixture to reduce unburned fuel and affect a fuel savings.

Engine design includes a catalyst exhaust system to further reduce emissions, plus an enrichment starting system that replaces a typical choke. The starting system helps eliminate the chance of flooding the engine at start-up.

“Despite the beefed-up design, these new trimmers are still light enough for hour-after-hour work, and they feature the low noise/low vibration engineering of all Kawasaki string trimmers,” says Brian O’Neil, product specialist for Kawasaki.

While the KBL35A and the KGT35A are designed for the requirements of commercial use, acreage owners and estate managers will find these new trimmers ideal for trimming and clean-up around buildings, fences and landscaped areas, O’Neil adds.

These trimmers are covered by Kawasaki’s “Leading Edge” warranty, which covers commercial use for two years and consumer use for five years. This warranty also includes lifetime drive shaft and electronic ignition module protection. Buyers have a 10-day money-back guarantee on all Kawasaki handheld power products.
